New 9/11 Maple Burl Blocks - Big Variety

These are all natural maple burl from Oregon. There can be lots of variations in maple burl and this shows some of the nicer variations. As is common with burl there will be some small voids, bark pockets and open eyes. These are an easy fix with a little CA glue for any that fall within your handle area.

These are all natural wood. They have not been stabilized. If you would like any blocks stabilized I can send them in with my next batch going to K&G for stabilizing. It will usually take about a month before you receive your blocks if you want them stabilized. Cost for stabilizing will be $8 per block.

If you would like your blocks cut into scales I can do that at no charge. I can cut the scales to your desired thickness and true up the slabs for equal thickness on my drum sander. (None thinner than 1/4" please) There will normally be about 1/8"+ loss of material from each cut and sanding.

I am just going to allow this thread to remain open until the end of the day today. These are good prices on really nice maple burl. Whatever hasn't sold will be dyed, stabilized, used by myself or boxed up for the coming show.
