Since more and more people are surfing the net on their phones or tablets, I needed to redo my old website to make sure it looks good on screens this size. So here it is finally. Sadly no new knife pictures to show but I did update the shop pictures.

If any of you guys who surf the web on smaller devices have a few minutes to spare, I would love to get your input on the website, how it looks, if it works, etc...

Thanks for looking.

Looks great.

2 quick things. Main.css is referencing some images that no longer exist:

#banner {
background-attachment: fixed;
background-color: #000000;
background-image: url("../../images/banner.jpg_old"); <---- THIS DOES NOT EXIST
background-position: center center;
background-size: cover;
box-shadow: 0 0.25em 0.5em 0 rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.25);
min-height: 100vh;
position: relative;
text-align: center;
z-index: 21;
}

AND

.spotlight:before {
background-image: url("images/overlay.pngold"); <---- THIS DOES NOT EXIST.
content: '';
display: block;
height: 100%;
left: 0;
top: 0;
width: 100%;
}

Looks good Patrice, at least on my iphone. I second the comment on your shop, I've went through your photos before, but I'm always amazed at how much stuff you have crammed in there!

Seionage, I'll take a look at that. :thumbup:

FunkCoaster, I used something similar with Firefox but I wanted "real world" validation and since I don't have a smart phone. :(

Glad you like the shop guys, I think I like working on it and tools almost as much as what comes out of it. :o

Thanks a bunch for your help and the feedback, much appreciated.

That's an amazing shop Patrice. But something's missing. I can't put my finger on it but something's missing. LOL Just kidding.

Nice website. I especially like the shop idea section. I'm gonna make a jewelers rack for all the rotary tool stuff tomorrow. That looked super handy.

I looked at it on my Droid Mini, which has a very small screen and its very easy to navigate. The font on the main page is clear as a bell and pops out well. The fonts throughout were very easy to read on this small screen. I'm not sure if they make a smaller screen than this, so you should be in good shape with most smartphones. Hope that helps.
By the way, The inquisitor still gets my blood pumping every time I see it. Great stuff Patrice.

William, you are right, there are a few things missing but I think that no matter how hard I try, I can't fit anything else in there. :( But if I get a bigger shop, watch out. ;)

Ryan, I am glad you like that section and found something you can use. Motivates me to add some more.

Lessismore, thanks for checking with your small screen and the good words.

Thanks again guys.

I will be referring back to the section and making changes in the shop. Another good one wad cutting the shop towels in half. I almost slapped myself on the forehead. Duh! How many times have I used a whole one to wipe off a blade and then thrown it away? Half the cost! Any little way to save money helps. Now do you have a way to double the life of sandpaper and belts?

Looks great Pat!
Learned some new organization ideas too.
Thanks again for the help on the vfd.

Been a while since I popped over to your site Patrice, I gotta say it looks very good, clear and understandable, and there's plenty of good content.
I enjoyed the shop tour quite a bit! You remind me of me, I think I've run out of space too, for any more major machines. I'll build a bigger shop if you do...
ETA: actually your shop and website are both less cluttered than mine.:D

I will say you are an absolute master of the use of limited space and unlimited items. Lol Your site looks great! Also compliments on how nice and clean and organized your shop looks for as much stuff as you have in there. Truly impressive!

Jay

RyanJ, might have a tip for belts coming soon. Maybe not twice the life but it still helps.

Greenjebadiah, hope your VFD install is going well.

Your shop scare me Bill. My cleaning powers do have their limit you know. ;)

Salem, I hope to take you up on that offer someday. Not too much bigger but at least double what I have now. I am getting old and would love a Lazy-Boy in there too. ;) Glad you like the site and shop.

Jay, what do they say? Necessity is the mother of all inventions or some such. :) The clean part is more on an obsession :o but it does make working in there nicer.

Thanks again for looking guys and letting me know what you think. :thumbup: Got a few more things (pictures and tips) to add in a few days. I'll let you know when I do.

Added the belt tip (most of you probably know it) and a few others as well. Also a picture Coop took of the Inquisitor on the stand. Tweaked a few things (font size, links, etc). I'll try and keep adding stuff on a regular basis. I plan on a few videos too if I get time someday.

Another big thank you for all your help.
