Great looking little knife. I don't own one yet, but I will sooner or later.

And how, just how did this lil fella follow you home? Those look like great little pocket fixed blades.

No. I bought a couple Highlands from a forum member. I had a couple before, three to be exact. I had trouble sharpening them but thanks to some fine members here, I finally got it through my thick skull how to do the convex edge. I still like to send them to siguy for their first edge but I can now maintain them nicely.:D

Ahhhh, the mini-Canadian...... my favorite "small" fixed blade knife. With the right touch, it will get so sharp as to scare the bejeezus out of people like Nozh.... let alone one of us lowly users.

Shall it find itself attached to your hip when the bitter north winds howl? Will the edge scare the marmot that lurks nearby, awaiting your carelessness with a cracker? Will it perform, in Canada as well as it does in more southern geography?

I like the mini-Canadian. I thank Fellow Forumite Foilist for my first one........

I bought this one at a retail store so I checked the edge first. She was wickedly sharp.:D

Oh yes. And the new sheath. Truly a 73% improvement over the old pouch from a year or so ago....truly. Very nice.

I've often admired the mini-CDNs. They have a lot of handle + choil area for such a small knife which is a great attribute that is often compromised in a EDC-style knife designed for its function. They look great too!

The Mini CDN was my first Barkie as well. Due to a mistake on my part, I accidentally got two; the beautiful burl/mosaic one now belongs to Stretch, while the humble green canvas micarta one stayed with me. I like to use mine as an edc alot. The choil allows for a genuine four-finger grip, but I've come to think I'd rather have a bit more cutting edge instead. There's nothing dainty about it in spite of it's small size - it's a very stout knife.

The weird thing is, I never had a problem sharpening the Mini CDN, but I cannot for the life of me sharpen my Northstar; it's going off to siguy tomorrow I think - I give up!

I wish I gad a retail store here that sold Barkies :(...............

Well, wait.....Its probably a good thing that I dont. ;)

Nice blade bro. My son has a micro that John(stomper) gave him. I think he sleeps with it under his pillow!:D

I am sure the store had 250 BR knives. I was lucky to get out of there as cheap as I did.
