New AG Russell Orca?

Yup, I saw that and told my wife, "It's A.G.'s fault. He called the new knife 'ORCA'. He's making me buy one. I can't help it." :D :p I like pretty much everything about that knife, especially the name. I saw they were temporarily unavailable, but I'm patient.

She says I have to decide: buy the ORCA, or buy my A.G. Russell 10" chef's knife. I hate it when she does that to me. (I have two of Russell's kitchen knives, so maybe I can skip the big one this year. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm...)

Mr. Russell, will you please keep us posted on it's expected arrival date?

I have a number of A.G. russell knives. All wonderfully made. With all my knives combined I have over 40-knives. Now Russell has to bring out the Orca. What am I supposed to tell my wife? She told me I must go to Knives Anonymous. Please no more models A.G. ! Wonderful knife.

I'm trying to figure out what he used for a blade stop. All I can see so far is the pivot and framelock. No pin or other chunk of metal to stop it folding backward.

Unless he's using the width of the lockbar itself in the framelock. If so that's a first for me. I suppose that might be an additional benefit of the Hinderer lock stabilizer?

Then it's very hidden. Might have to take mine apart to see, but I don't think there is one.

All right, i see it. I thought those were part of a ball detent system at first glance. You can see part of the arc cut out as it opens on mine as well. I thought that was a grease smudge at first.

Tricky design.

Thanks for pointing it out to me.

You are welcome.
I'd like to know who invented the hidden stop pin design. It's brilliant.

How about something other than catalog or video. My ZT 350 and Kershaw One Ton are similar in size. The blade is indeed very wide! Comes with 2 clips as shown, I switched it to the deep carry right off.
