We just got our first shipment of the new Al Mar pocket knives. Originally made in Japan, they are now produced in China. But don't let that scare you away with doubts of quality. These are well made and compare most favorably with the Japanese version - except the new ones are MUCH less money. Take a look!

ABOVE: AMK2200 MiniSERE Assisted Flipper. Black G-10 Scales. D2 steel blade.

Click pic to see all of the initial offerings we have ready to ship. More added daily.

Thanks for the look, Mike

--Not really. The SERE 2020 and Mini SERE 2020 are the same size as the original 2000's, but features assisted opening.
--Ultralight Titanium Series (Hawk, Falcon and Eagle) are super-thin and lightweight framelocks with flipper and ceramic bearings and D2 steel.
--Ultralight Talon Series (Hawk, Falcon and Eagle) have lightweight FRN Handles with Stainless Liners. Flipper Linerlocks with 8Cr13Mov Stainless steel
--The Honey Jig Bone Series is same size.
--Only truly new pattern we have received so far is the Quicksilver - Titanium Framelock Flipper with D2... big, light and thin.
--I expect more of the classic patterns will be produced - maybe some older Al Mar designs from way back when - and some totally new patterns.
--This line has great potential I think.

Resurrecting an old thread. I just received two Sere 2020's, both D2, one is the 40th Anniversary the other a Mini. The Mini is the hardest opening knife I've ever had. Opened it quite a few times the day I got it and the next day my finger was sore as could be. The full size model is stiff but not like the mini. Just wondering if this is the norm, if they break in, or did I just get an oddball? Trying to decide whether to request a return or exchange. I love the blade and the ergonomics, beefy but not crazy heavy, but I almost can't open it.
