I also have a new custom 110 coming in a few weeks. I am sure that I will love it, but this Alaskan guide is pretty hard to beat, pretty and man I am sure this blade will be great. I am not sure if I prefer the nickel or brass bolsters yet, jury is still out.
Yeah...Durbin...I was thinking the same thing about that logo...wasn't certain but ended up keeping it on. Didn't Nair it.
Like Five-0 Mike and I were stating once, when I don't want to see it, I turn it over to the other side. Sirusly, like for display or something.
I hadn't had my AG 110 out of the drawer for quite awhile but all this talk made me take it out for a look see.
Man I forgot just how pretty this thing is. The brass has darkened just a little and the bolsters have this perfect golden glow. And WOW, against those rosewood scales.....the look is just Awesome!!
IMHO Don't think nickel would look as good on this knife.
If I had batteries for my cam I'd post a pic but I probably couldn't do it justice anyway.
I guess I know what I'll be EDC'n for while.
MikeSEA,
I agree this sure is a pretty knife. And I love nickel bolsters, I think the combination of the brass bolsters, rosewood handle, and the dark blade look really good together. I reccommend carrying it, it has served me well today!
I left the logo on mine. Heck, if Cabela's hadn't commissioned them, we wouldn't have 110s with CPM SV30 blades, would we? The least I can do is leave their logo intact. Heh.
