The convex ground, spear point blade is made from super tough and wear resistant Micro Melt PD#1, a tougher and more wear resistant version of D2. All that PD#1 goodness rides on caged steel bearings, smoothly deploying to the hardened steel lockbar insert/over-travel stop in the titanium lock bar. These knives lock up rock solid.
