So, I drove down to Columbus to pick up this anvil:
It's a 125 lb Trenton. The face if nice and flat, so I'm happy.
On my way home I was thinking about trying to use my extra 2HP 3ph motor for a disc sander and tying it into my VFD.... then I realized I was just about to pass Beaumont Metalworks, so I stopped by. (very nice people at Beaumont). I picked up my 9" disc plate. They have two different kinds, the flat one and one that is a bevel slightly. I'm curious to know what most of you use and why? I went with the flat.
While I was there, I saw the parts room and the pieces for their new disc grinder adjustable work rest! It's very cool! Too bad I didn't have any extra money, or I would have added one!
