New Anvil + New Hammer = New Knives

Finally had time to try out my new anvil and a new hammer yesterday. Made two blacksmith kinves with leather wrapped handles.

The new hammer started life as a 3# drill hammer. Reground to a square face and a cutler's face. I really like the way it moves metal.

Thanks Stewart. Looking at your work makes me humble. Still low on the forging learning curve, but now that I have some good basic tools maybe things will speed up. These were the quickest I have ever done, 4hrs start to finish.
