New Anvils Ready

Built stands for the new anvils and set them in my forge area.

You can see my first anvil in the lower left hand corner of the pic.

Now it's time to try'em out.

That chain tensioner looks to be the way to snug the chain down.

JT, it took over 3yrs to locate an anvil. I asked almost everyone I met. I got a lead and drove about 100 mi to check it out. No luck. On the way home, stopped at an antique/junk yard and found both of these.
Just keep looking.

Those 2 anvils are a real big step up from a railroad track anvil,,,,good score :thumbup:

Thanks , Barkes. I used MDF, glued and coated with spar varnish. The1/2" allthread rod goes all the way through. Makes a great tensioner for the chain.
