New Apprentice at Fiddleback Forge

I would like to introduce myself, my name is Chris Linton. I am a new Apprentice at Fiddleback Forge. I was born and raised in North Georgia on a small farm. I grew up riding horses and playing in the woods. I learned early on the importance of a good knife and I have always had one as long as I can remember. I joined the Army as an Infantry soldier at 21 in 2004, in 2005 I deployed to Iraq for a year with the 4th Infantry division. I spent the last 2 years of my Army career at Ft. Benning as the Master Gunners school armorer, getting out in 2009 as an E5/SGT.

What helped me excel in the military was attention to detail and dedication to the task at hand. These qualities go into my knives. I enjoy the freedom of creative expression that comes with making knives. I forge as well as stock removal. My favorite steels to work with are W2, O1, and CPM154. I am currently working on a batch of knives and hope to start selling on the Forum soon. I look forward to making quality handmade knives from my hands to yours. My company name will be Osprey Knife & Tool.

Welcome Chris! Looking forward to seeing more

I really like the look of this one, and really like that plunge and grind a lot. What are the specs?

Welcome Chris!...I'm new to the forum but enjoying myself. Your knives look awesome!

Congrats and welcome. Like what I see so far looking forward to seeing more.

Chris has been a great addition to our team folks. He is a great employee, and his knives have jumped up a notch since he came on. I am blessed to be around passionate artists and to be able to help them develop their skills.

I would also like to thank Chris for his service to our country. He had a lot of gritty experience in the sand pit, and he is a personal hero of mine.

Welcome Chris, and thank you for your service.

Mr. Roy, you never cease to impress me.

Good, I have been looking for a good edc in cryo-quenched 154 for a while now, and I really like all of the lines on that one. Your work looks very nice man.

Looking forward to meeting you Chris. Thank you for your service.
Don't listen to anything Andy or any of the rest of them feather merchants say about hammers and fire.
They're just jealous. Maybe that Mankel Andy hides in the corner will see some real action now.
Are you coming down to the Twins for the Guild meeting?
If not, hope you plan tol make it up to Trackrock end of March.
