New around here...first thread

Hell yeah!
That's a fine looking knife right there!
The BK11 micarta completely changes the feel of the knife. For the better I might add.
I think it looks badass too!

Yeah, I never bothered cord wrapping the thing, I knew I should just wait
and get the micarta for it, and it was worth the wait, though I do need some
experience with wrapping just in case I need to someday. Guess I'll need to
put in an order for some neon orange and camo paracord. But I really
can't wait to use it. I can't even imagine how much time this knife is
gonna get. Sometimes I just sit and hold it, feeling really good about it,
then my girlfriend comes in and is like "ok...time to put the kniiife away..."
and sits next to me. So I reluctantly set it down.
:pride: :suspicion: :numbness:

That stripped bk11 and micarta scales looks great! Have you thought about getting stainless steel hardware to hold those scales on? That would really look good IMO. I have a BK14 I plan on stripping this week--- hope it turns out as good as your 11!

Maybe someday. It's not really on the top of my list. First I need micarta for my 9,
then a sheath for it, THEN I can worry about the details for the two of them.
Always remember that paint stripper works slowly in the cold. If I could do it again,
I'd wait a lot longer, and use a plastic putty knife. But I still like how they
turned out, just had to sand them a little.
