I also much prefer the older CASE shield, better looking and proportioned compared to the current effort.

Doug thanks a bunch for sharing the pics. The old simple square bolstered jack is one of my favorite patterns and those are really nice examples of the pattern. I'm not sure there will ever be a pocket knife that equals this one for looks and utility.
