Woo Hoo! I feel like I won the lottery today. I ordered two new knives after Christmas, a 21" Chitlangi and a Kumar Karda, and got them both from the post office this morning. Not only are both really nice examples -- everything straight, smooth, sharp, sisau handles -- they're both by Sher, so I guess it's no coincidence. Of the larger HI knives I have, Sher is definitely my favorite kami. I don't have Bura blade yet though. For smaller knives, I have the new Sher KK and a Dil JKM-1; I couldn't choose between those two -- they are both so nice.
The chitlangi is really a great piece of work. It has an undeniable "presence" to it. I feel like I could take it with me to Mordor if I had to. Know what I mean?
