I could really find myself liking that M-16 Special Forces if it were not for the Tanto point. The red handles on the Fire Department models looks great and I also like the looks of the M-16 Titanium.

I had a chance to handle the new models and they are nicer in person. The M16 Special Forces is actually larger than the M16-12 Check out the specs. It is the same size as a M16-13. The Titanium M16s are incredibly light for their size. There also 2 new models, one has lock similar to the axis lock, the other is Ron Lakes signature model. They come with 2 sets of scales. Retail is $100.00 each the are very slick looking.

The M16-13T is a really slick knife. The one I am playing with is extremely nice. I am having hard time parting with it. You should buy one, you'll be satisfied.

Hey avenger,
The CRKT M-16 line is my favorite production knife,as a matter of fact. It just happens that CRKT likes to use the aus6 on it. Im glad they didnt this time and instead chose to use something a little bit better.

Avenger do you have a link to some pics of the CRKT's with the Axis type lock? Sounds very interesting. I'm still waiting for someone to improve on the omega spring idea, maybe CRKT will....hmmmmmmmmm

Sticky:
The lock is more like the "bolt action" that Gerber used. Their patent is up this year. They use a spring similar to a shock absorber behind the lock. There isn't an Omega spring like the Benchmade. It appears to be a much stronger setup. There aren't any pictures yet because the knife doesn't have a part # yet. When I find out what the actual part numbers are, I will post it with a price. Delivery is supposed to be late August early September.
The M16-13SF is a very nice knife also. The ones I have are very purposeful in appearance. The leave no doubt as to it's defensive nature. The double flippers are almost double the size as a standard M16.
