Camillus has a new monster folder in their line up - Darrel Ralph's Aftermath folder. Blade length is 5.5" and is of D2 in a clip point shape. Double flippers/guards permit easy opening. titanium frame lock design with carved flame pattern. More info later after I get a chance to play with the prototype [which as of now is currently in transit from NY]
 
Does anyone know when these will be available? How much they'll cost? How about a picture?

and better suited for my needs (not your, my, as in mine, as in I'm just asking a simple freaking question here already...sheesh), like an EDC in 3.5" blade length...I think that would be cool, and I'd buy at least a few...

The CUDA Maxx bowie is simple and appropriate to MY needs :) but Darrell has a S&W collaboration in two versions, a drop point and a clip, which are framelocks like a large version of the EDC. I think they go for about $40.

I gave one to my police officer brother-in-law and it was a big hit. The knife is all metal, very strong, and very flat. Clipped (tip-down) inside a pocket, it's almost unnoticeable.

But I really, really want the Aftermath. Whatever they charge will be a lot less than custom and if the CUDA Maxx is any guide, it will be high quality.
 
I agree with Melvin-Purvis. A Cuda Maxx with a 3.25-3.5" blade would be wonderful. I have a full size Cuda Maxx, and it is an awesome knife, especially when one thinks about how little they cost compared to some other well known integral lock knives. A knife with an anodized, integral lock handle and a satim finish D-2 blade would be sure fire hit. I don't know what could be holding Camillus back.:(

Whew. Busy as hell here at SHOT.

The 'math is ASSISTED OPENING :) Leaf spring assist that is very predictable [you can feel when the blade is about to fire off]. VERY impressive
