I've had several people asking me about making a very basic, small utility work knife. Something without any bells and whistles. Just a durable, inexpensive worker. So to answer that request (and keep up with the current market), here's what I have come up with. Let me know what you think.
B.U.K. (Basic Utility Knife)
This is a no-frills, no-nonsense work knife. These B.U.K.'s are forged from 1/8" thick 1080 high carbon steel (6" overall with a 2 3/4" cutting edge) and have a satin finish. The handle scales are 1/8" thick Micarta (the above in maroon) with stainless steel for one pin and a stainless steel lanyard liner as the second. These knives come with a molded Kydex sheath with a removable/reversible belt loop. This allows the knife to be carried on the right or left side...or remove the loop altogether for pocket or (adding a cord/chain) neck carry.
I have one B.U.K. with maroon linen Micarta scales and a "high ride" sheath and one in white paper Micarta scales and a standard sheath available. (Sheaths are not interchangeable)
Price, with Kydex sheath: $175.00, plus shipping.
