Well, I figured since I posted this in WS&S I should post in the other place I hang out on BF, the RAT forum.

Well, I just thought I would share this with all of my WS&S friends!! I have a new nephew.

Baby is 6 weeks premature. 6 lbs and 9 oz, 18 1/2" long!!
Pic taken with a phone, couldn't get a lot due to being in the NICU.

six weeks prem and over six pounds, the mum should be grateful I reckon. Congratulations to all and a good life.

foot and a half long for a premi! That kid would have walked out on his own with pants on if he had gone full term. :)

Congrats Mr. Reynolds (saw your name on the babies crib) ! Life is a beautiful precious gift, enjoy him. My wife is a Pedi ICU RN and she tells me stories that would break a Marines heart, some people are so cruel ! God bless and we will keep him in our prayers. That feeding tube (in his nose) and the (what looks like) a central catheter (from the right groin) are so small, like lines of thread. Can you imagine the skill necessary to insert a steel needle into the vein (not visible, only palpable) of a small premature child like this one, proverbial ‘needle in a haystack‘! Watch out for the heparin injections, look what happened to Dennis Quaid’s kids. Best of luck

God, your gonna scare the shit out of him!

Don't worry, they're gonna take great care of your little one. My oldest spent 12 days in the NICU followed by open heart bypass a few weeks later. The skill and competence of the nursing staff as well as the caring they show for those little ones will make you cry.

Everything will be fine in the end.

Thanks guys :)

I am going to try and get another shot or 2 of him today or tomorrow

Congrats, dude! My lady and I are working on making our own right now. Here's hoping! :D
