Ok, somebody needs to buy the second one. I have the first and I wanted to use it for a bit before I wrote about it.

Like it says in the description, it is D2. That is one of my favorite knife steels. It came verrrrry sharp. Don't let "air" scales fool you. There's enough there to get a good hold of and do real cutting chores. I used it to cut down some pretty thick cardboard boxes and always felt that I had total control of the blade. After I cleaned it up (I hate tape residue!) I went to work on it with a chromium oxide loaded strop. It will now pop hair above the skin.

It and the sheath carry very well. They're not only light, but not obtrusive. It's gone out in public to dinner and a movie with me and the missus and no one seemed to pay it any mind.

When I first decided to buy it, I thought that I would put a "proper" lanyard one it. I shouldn't have questioned David's design so prematurely. That bit of rawhide and bone are perfect for pulling it out of the sheath and they look good too.

So, get that last one and maybe he'll make some more for others to enjoy.

Tony
