Scored a new full size Wells bandsaw, a late 1800s early 1900 slip roll with Bronze caps and a Bronze drive gear. Alysia came in and did 90% of the work to help me build a new stand for my bench grinder/wire wheel/buffer, which rocks now and is much more stable and user friendly. Also, she insisted on modeling with it. The bandsaw is HUGE, need to figure out a way to fit it in the shop better or maybe sell it and get a smaller one.

Sam, do you plan to use the slip roll as a hand powered "rolling mill" for forging bar stock?

Joe that would not work at all, too much length in the rollers for it to exert enough pressure to forge.

Mike, I need to get it on wheels, it weighs 600 pounds!!!!

Just did some research, it's a Wells Model 8. Needs some fixing up! going to see if I can make it a horizontal/vertical combo machine also. Did a Test cut on some 1 1/4" round 1045 I have, which on my HF saw would take me 10 minutes to cut took less then 1 on this saw, it's incredible there is not a import saw that can match this solid construction. Cool too since I paid only a little more then a new HF bandsaw LOL

Sam, that band saw is YOWZA!!! Great piece of machinery dude:thumbup:

Your product model cracks me up too! She makes you believe that the grinder/buffer has the power to shoot lightning bolts into the sky! :D

Jonny, it's crazy! it's such a massive step from even the best import saws it's unbelievable!

thanks :D

Heck with that saw and roller...
I still say Alysia is cute as a bunny. ( although her shop safety wear is somewhat lacking.)

Man what a saw, but your shopmate is killer! What kinds of stuff will you do with the roller?

Not sure what I will do with the roller yet, but I am going to make a hand wheel for it I prefer them over a crank. it can handle 1/4" by 1" or 2" I think, so it'll be good for making rims and rings for things.

LOL thanks Stacy.
