I've been prowling the internet looking for a new knife, preferrably a Barlow or something similar to buy, and what should I run across but a Queen Barlow with a different combination of blades - spear and wharncliffe - than I had seen before. Since Mike is pretty quick at getting things shipped out, I'm hoping to see this one Monday when I get home from work. The picture is from Mike's website.

That looks very cool and a useful blade combo. I am going to add that to my Christmas Wish List! :D

I like it :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Mike is the best (#1) He hunted for specific serial #'s on some GEC's for me.

This is the latest Model 23 serial #23 (for a birthday)

I received the small Barlow yesterday. It's a nice, solid knife. Good fit and finish. The scales are well done - enough texture to give some grip, but not so coarse as to be bothersome. I thought Queen could have done a better job finishing the pins, but that is a minor thing. Both blades have a half stop. The springs are strong. Both springs sit slightly proud in the half stop position, but are flush when the blades are completely open. Both blades are sharp and the edge grinds are dead even on both sides. I like the spear/wharncliffe combination. The nail nicks both face to the outside. I like the finish on the blades. I guess you would call it a belt finish, but they went to a fairly fine grit, significantly finer than the finish on my Case knives with a belt finish.

I'm very pleased with the knife and I'm sure it will see plenty of pocket time.

This is really nice. Just wondering, have you sharpened it already? The 1 out of 50 baled seems a little off on the blade

I just recieved my Burk barlow today. I was pleasantly suprised w/ it. Great knife the d-2 blades sharpened very nice.

I have been staring at that same picture of this knife from www.collectorknives.net for about 2 weeks now and would love to see some other shots of this beauty if anyone could be so kind.

Thanks.

i had'nt seen that one . the blade combo gives great versatility in a small knife.
