You won't be disappointed, unless you for some strange reason just have to have the thickest possible knife. The CG BATACs are very, very strong, even if they're not 1/4". You can baton, chop and pry with them to all your heart's content, and you'll be lucky if you can somehow break one. I bet a lot of people in this forum have a story or two to tell on just how strong those CG BATACs are. You really won't need the added thickness of the LE. It's just going to get in the way.
 
The CG's thickness seems about right considering the overall size of the knife.

Check with your Company Officer before you take any action. I thought I remembered that the nannies didn't like knives of any sort. I could be completely off my crock since most of you and your classmates have sabers.

Nope. I went the OCS route. But several of my shipmates did and I remember stories.

hmmm...busse newb here...... what is the difference between the standard version of this knife and the CG? I think the one I bought is the standard version. I was opnly aware of standard and the LE.
