I just posted a new batch of figured Claro Walnut in the store.
The coloring in this wood can show a change from light to dark when the light hits from different angles.
The blocks were stabilized by K&G Stabilizing so you know it was done right.

I bought one of your Claro Walnut blocks off your website. Do you know the origin of your blocks? California? Oregon? I just like to tell my customers and they think it's cool to know where the wood originated.

The walnut came from orchards that were removed in California.
