New batch of old axes (ID help request: Säter, DY)

You seem to be good at machining...Do you think you could mill an overlaid-type bit for the Sater,to be mechanically attached, like excavator teeth inserts?:)
When I was searching for TT's electric welding info I stumbled on this old axe patent.
It could be very useful for hewing axes. It would need 2nd screw (mirror image) in place of the poll. It would eliminate the need for swapping handles. It could even have removable (screw-on) poll to better balance that whole contraption.

Slow progress. I made a handle for Gränny and a safety plate for HB. Never mind the cracked (glued) two tone knob swell, the grain follows pretty perfectly the grip line. Ash with a walnut wedge, second one I have made so far from start to finish. Covered in 85% tung 15 % BLO and sealed with bees wax.

HB´s Ox Head style safety plate is just for covering my shitty wedge job. Could have put a round metal wedge in it also, but there was enough junk in the tongue already. I beveled the sides so there is no metal-to-metal contact but it will stop the head if/when it starts to come loose.

Sorry for the lame indoor shots, the weather was too shiny to get decent pics at the log pile. I would have wanted to show some proof that I actually sometimes use these instead of just late night tinkering.

Neat stuff there,Ragnar, really sound, good looking handles.(that European ash has nice grain).
That's great, now you have all these axes, you can turn that firewood pile into charcoal, and re-blade that Hult!:)
