I was wondering if there were any new Becker designs in the works...
I would live to see a 10 inch 0.25 thick cleaver type chopper !

Oooh, if Ka-Bar could make a Bladesports spec Becker Competition Chopper... that could be an awesome way to get more people into the sport!

I hope they come out with a carpenter's knife. Something like the Necker in size but with a sheepsfoot style blade with slightly swept up tip and the ability to be hammered into things. I'll sketch something up in a sec.

Even IF there were... they wouldn't be talked about.

Great idea man !
The becker handle is very ergonomical and would be awesome with a bladesport type blade

bk 16 with a scandy grind please but since that won't happen how about a tweener handle and a ffg kephart blade design with a tang thickness of 5/32 tapering to 1/8

Becker handled version of something like this

or this with a bit more slant to the front end like the one above..... both knives are 17ish inches total length to give an idea of scale...

An Ethan Becker And Bill Siegle collaboration would be too cool!
I'm thinking....something like this, in the Jest bolo style:

I almost pulled the trigger on one of these.

for 30.00 you can't go wrong! ..... it has become my new favorite, just a beast in every sense of the word.... just heed my advice, stick with the 3.5 inch belly.... I bought one of each just cause they were so cheap, and between them that extra 1/2 inch of blade highth changes the whole feel of them.... it quits being a knife and moves into actual cleaver with the 4 inch, I don't like it near as much as I do the 3.5

My 2¢ worth of some very different approaches. Yes maybe not to Ethan's taste, but in the BK&T spirit of things was always taking a sort of existing knife and improving it and making it their own (MOD4 vs BK2, Bowie vs BK9, etc:

1) A 7" or so BK2
2) A Becker Hatchet
3) A Becker Gaucho Knife
4) Scandi Becker
5)... and dare I say it - a folding Becker

I'm still waiting on the Becker folder.

G10 shaped like the Becker handle with an S30V drop point like on the 16. And a sprint version with the 15 blade in S110V. Both flippers. LOL.

KA-BAR would have the nuts to try that though. [emoji6]

Bk11 with a 10mm longer handle I'll take a dozen of them:)
