New Becker designs ? Ideas ?

BK2 with a 6-6.5" blade for me please.

Like a BK-12? Only thing missing is the extra bit of thickness....though you'd have to grind off the thumb ramp.

I think we're long overdue for a new set of Becker designed kitchen knives...

Hell, yes. Though from what I gather, the Esee collab sets didn't sell that well. Dunno why, bought a couple myself (as gifts) and they were most impressive both in function and value.

A lot of great ideas, so far. My fave would be the Siegle collab. Or the huge barong (or something) Jim Bensinger did....I don't have a pic but perhaps he'll chime in with one. That thing is/was a beast.

The lkitchen knives looked great, other than the red inerts on the handles, killed it for me...

The bk 2 is too short for such a stout thickness
I would be very interested in a bk2 magnum with an 8 inch blade !!!

I have always been a proponent of a BK with the thickness and blade shape of the 2 and the size of the 9.... I think without the swedge on the 9 it would baton better and chop better as well as it would have an increased front heavy feel both from the thicker stock and the lack of swedge...... as far as a bushcraft large chopper goes, it would be just about my dream knife.

I'm in !

i'd like to see the current models stop being discontinued honestly.

i'd also like to see the brute or patrol machete come back. i think i read somewhere here on bf that the dies were too big for kabar's presses(?) i might be completely off the mark here. but if that's the case, at 18.75", it's bigger than the brute, 1/4 smaller than the patrol machete. what gives? i don't want excuses, i want results!

and also the 2/9 mashup would be great.

no brute for you

How about a wharncliffe Becker? About the size of a BK16, flat ground. And maybe even a larger BK15 size version?

A bolo style blade...

I would love a Becker Bolo. The Machax reminds me a bit like a bent bolo.

I also like the idea of a production JEST like Siegle's below.
An Ethan Becker And Bill Siegle collaboration would be too cool!
I'm thinking....something like this, in the Jest bolo style:

Then again, I have current Beckers to catch up on before I go pining over something new. Don't get me wrong through. I would beat the snot out of a new BK6.
