Will there be anything new at SHOT, something new for us to drool over?

I sure would like to see the Reinhart Kukri done again as a BK&T

I'd like to see a BK&T "fighter" with a 10-11 inch blade, with the same blade-shape as the Camp Knife.

Dan,
you got that right.
10-11 inch blade fighter with a blade similar to the camp knife. Indeed!

Ive been hankering for such a beast. In fact the inspiration and drive for my quest is the Moran ST-24 combat knife. Presently unavailable anywhere.
Wish I could make a decent knife.... Id try it myself!

Unfortunately, or perhaps irrelevantly, I'd also like a different handle than the current Beckers for such a knife.
In that the Moran handle was angled downward and had a swelling downward turned knob at the end.
An updated version could be thinner and less exagerated than Bills model but still follow the general mode of his design.
Micarta handle, polished sv30 blade, neutral balance, differentially hardened 3/16" steel. Oooooh! Fantasy is a great thing brother. I can see it now, new teddy bear for the masses!
Boy if I were a hot **** designer at an agressive knife company this is the one I'd be working on.

Odd then that the camp knife, which is somewhat similar to this design was not more comercially successful.
I think it was an excellent camp knife but didn't cross the bridge to this type of multi-purpose capability that a slightly tweaked design might have.

I'd also like to see thinner grips (made out of the same material) for the BK series as an secondary option from Camillus/Becker.

Glockman, there's an old thread on this forum where Bill Siegle shows some thinner grips he makes for the BK9.

I know, but that's not what I'm talking about. I mean thinner grips made just like the STOCK ones, out of the same material, and made by Becker (Camillus) that would be a replacement option.

These are all great ideas, so come on man...........enlighten us!!!

I think there should be at least two sets of grips that come with the beckers out of the box, the standard and the slim. The end swells could still be the same size so that they fit the kydex sheaths. I know it's a warranty and a pricing issue, but think of it, it would be the first knife that FIT EVERYBODY. I have the Magnum camp, the Companion, Patrol Machete and the Brute and just ordered the C/U. I could barely use the companion or the brute because of hand size. I had to sand and file them down. They work now but they look like Crap. I know this is a common complaint but come on guys how much would it cost, at least as an aftermarket option? Or a send back to the factory modiffication? I mean I really don't see the problem. Right now for the price, and maybe without the price on some models (patrol machete) there is no better knife design or steel on the market and the sheaths are great too.

sporty,
why didnt you just take material off the flat side of the Becker handle to reduce its circumfrence?

You can probably take at least .40-.50 off by sanding the backs of the scales to a desired height. Lots better than sanding the radiused portions.

You can sand blast the scales for more texture and to hide your sanding job too.

Just a thought.
