Just ordered a bench shear for my shop, for hot shearing edges of forged blades and cutting steel flat cold. Want to get into pots and pans and that means some tools to cut and handle sheet. Didn't want to spend Beverly prices, and am fine with cutting straight lines then rounding on the grinder (edge cleanup anyway). Enco 12" model:

Will let everyone know how it works, get's here Wednesday.

the small mass of the material being cut plus the small amount of time in contact shouldn't be a problem I think.

Capacity ? one part says 1/8" [ .125"] another part says .020" ???
Girly sheet metal pans ? Do you know how to cook ?

It says it can cut 1/8" sheet inline, and 1/4" by 2 3/4" in a bite up close to the pivot, the enco site is horrible to navigate.

Certainly agree on the Enco site. Awaiting your report.

dang this thing's HUGE! cut some small stuff to try it out but it's not mounted so no big stuff. It's STOUT, bigger and thicker then I thought it would be. well worth the 100$ IMO

plus, the chingrish instruction manual was worth the price all on it's own LOL
