NEW Benchmade 760BKLFT-WOW!!

The 760 is the Blackwater knife BM produced for them in limited numbers in 154cm. At least that is what it looks like to me. keepem sharp

I don't know how good is M4, but the new pocket clip is for sure not an improvment.

I don't think there will be steep discounts anymore on BM's.
From what my brother told me, they are removing distributors from their
customer base and will solely go to brick&mortar and retail from themselves.

IMO, that will be a mistake in the long run. The sales will suffer, probably in a large way.

Yeah, I know about their feelings about internet dealers undercutting official prices. I know this much. If I had to pay MSRP for every Benchmade I would very seldome buy them. Thet offer nice knives but they don't have a product that can't be found elsewhere. They would be shooting themselves in the foot in the long run, my opinion of course.

I can live without the Axis lock if it means having to pay MSRP only. The only knife in the 2009 catalog I really feel I must have is the Lum in M4, and that's not even an Axis lock.

BTW, The M4 steel is really knice, wether in fixed blades , or folders. It sharpens up nice, and really takes a good strop. I like it better than M2 in some ways. Joe

Agreed. I somehow doubt that BM knives have so much appeal that people are going to buy them at MSRP as regularly as people like us usually buy knives (online, most of the time).
