Three years ago (to this day) I got my first Benchmade- one of the 550's (plain edge, sheepsfoot, opening hole) in olive drab. It's held up great, and it's a tremendous knife. Now I get a Christmas present from my aunt and uncle (who enjoys hunting), and it's one of the Cabelas D2 Grips in olive drab! So now I have two awesome Griptilians :D Best of all, I can compare my older Grip to something, and it's held up 100%! They also got me a Leatherman Wave for Christmas a few years ago. They're good to me :)

Congrats on the Cabelas Grip:). I have to say, as much as people talk about the handles feeling cheap, I think the Grips are some of the best value-to-price production knives available today. My Grips have held up great. Cheers to great gifts from great relatives (and to the relatives, I guess)!

Congrats on recieving a great knife. You must really love your aunt and uncle.

Yep, both of my mom's brothers and their wives are very cool! The ones who gave me the knife live in Dallas and have a HUGE ranch in Montana, and her other brother lives in Maine. They're both big into deer and boar hunting, and for my Maine uncle's wedding in October I picked him up a Spyderco Native. Hopefully we'll get to go ice fishing at some point!
