New BIG Knife suggestions

If youu can find ne, you might look into the Terzuola/Spyderco StarMate. It uses the same adjustable liner lock as the older Militaries and it is, IMO, a much more solid knife.

For the use you want it for I would go with the Spyderco, Flat Ground knives make such nice cutters for camp use, food preparation etc. Cant go wrong with that knife for tactical use either.

Have you looked at the 806d2? I have that model and quite like it, although the blade sometimes seems a tad thick for food prep (which I do use it for fairly regularly). Although from what I've read around here the 710 is considered a better utility knife, you might still take a look at it. (when I got it, what I wanted was a knife with d2 steel (I already had an s30v ritter grip, and wanted what from what I could tell was considered one of the other best production steels out there), an axis lock, and BT coating (because I'd never had one with it before) so the 806 was pretty much the only choice that met all of these preferences, and it has served me well, alternating with my ritter grip as my edc)

Is it wrong to buy 2 knives and then return the unused one that you dont wnat anymore.

u think I may do this. Its to hard of a choice.

It's not wrong if you tell the seller BEFORE you buy them that this is your plan.

If you simply turn up afterwards saying you don't like it then the seller might just tell you to go away, (with varying degrees of politeness.)
