New Bill Moran, MS Book - Knife Photos added

Steve,

I'm glad to hear that the book is a success.

Parfums95,

As you know, there are many Moran folders in the book.

I found a few more photos of knives that are shown in the book, including my favorite Moran folder:

Folding ST-23:

Moran Stiletto:

Moran Push Dagger:

The book is fabulous, I have not Bill knives, regret and I would have liked to meet. When talking about fantastic knives to the common man, I think that we should have this book ready for the bedside table, open your eyes the show begins.... I am on the ass .
Special thanks to Francois Xavier Salle " la passion des couteaux"

Outstanding! I'm loving those rare images of folders, miniatures and others. I've seen and handled a few of his knives, and some were clunky. Not here. These show he could do it all.

Beautiful inlay work on the handles and cases.

Nice review, Jim. Thanks for the awareness.

Jim,

You are correct that some of Bill Moran's earlier knives looked clunky. I have one that looks that way, but it feels very good in the hand. Most knives from the 1950's - 1960's look clunky compared to current knives. The fit and finish of the early Lime Kiln knives can't match his later work, but they are extremely sharp with his convex edge. I think that Bill Moran's knives evolved and kept getting better as his career progressed. He also became much more interested in the balance of his knives as time went by.

Spectacular Big Book!

Dan,

Here is an image of the "KILL'EM ALL LET GOD SORT 'EM OUT" ST-23 that you have on your site. It is also shown in William F. Moran, Jr. "Forever a Legend"

Hi Jim,
I just purchased another collection with a couple of Moran knives included. I have never seen these two before, but I don't have all of the books either.
