Introducing the new release from BK&T, the BK7 COMBAT/UTILITY KNIFE! In an effort to bring an AFFORDABLE, high performance, combat/utility knife to our troops, Ethan Becker consulted with fellow tactical trainers, and also, veteran and active duty infantrymen around the country. They all said that troops need multipurpose knife that is capable of cutting, light chopping, prying, and hammering....all in a lightweight package. The operators also said that the sheath has to be easy to use in conjunction with web gear, and durable. After much prototyping and testing, we bring you the newest offering from BK&T, a knife designed with today's high speed soldier[and a Grunt's budget] in mind...The BK&T COMBAT/UTILITY 7. This knife takes the spirit of the age old Camillus 7" combat/utility knife to the next level!

Will:

First of all, that knife system is AWESOME!! The USMC Fighting/utility is a classic, but as you said, this is a great update. .188" thick is great, 7" is great, nice carbon steel, nylon sheath with kydex insert is for sure an improvement of the USMC fighting/utility's leather sheath. And the price, as you say, is awesome.

I'd like to thank Ethan Becker and Camillus for having the insight and wisdom to think up and realize a tool that is sorely needed. All this in a time where others want to ban "bad knives" alltogether. Camillus and Ethan really deserve a pat on the back for ignoring irrational pc sentiments and making tools that are needed.

Wow, this is like, the combat knife of the future :)

hehehe hehe, i'll quit trying to sound like a groupee and just say:

WOWSA! (again)

Congrats to Mr Becker for finally designing something that genuinely impassions me, I couldn't relate to any of his other designs, but this one REALLY speaks to me...

that said, I also think it's interesting with the timing and all, I think if I bought this knife it'd always remind me of the war with Afghanistan and the sweeping and changing way our military deals in warfare, after all what better way to show it then hand in them antiquated USMCs and get a bunch of BK&Ts!

Now there's the just the subject of that OICW, don't do it!

Will....

Sweet....

The sheath looks like it's from the same people who make the Busse sheaths...

Gotta have one of those..:)

Thanks

Eric...

What an awesome knife. Unbelievable in that price range. Looks like something else to add to the Christmas list. :D

That just looks great, Will. That handle design looks as comfortable as all get out! Definitely on my list.:D

That looks great. A real winner. I wish somebody up here would carry the line, at a reasonable price.

Will, Ethan, et al,

Heartiest congrats from a confirmed Busseholic on putting out a very handy looking knife at a price point that will allow virtually anybody into the game!! The BK&T line has always impressed me with the amount of bang delivered per buck spent. This one looks to be another fine example of the same great value.

I think I'll have to make room among the Busses for one of these, because it sure looks sweet. :D

Thx again,
Greg

Will et all

Looks like the first BK&T that I just HAVE TO HAVE.

Ask your Dad if he remembers a 12 year old boy with 5 brothers and a sister from two blade shows ago. (I bet he doesn't but thats OK) He made a deal on a Western double sheath knife that was on display and made a young mans year. Well his birthday is in January. Guess who's getting one for his 14th. Should just fit the bill; rough, tough, and should last forever.

Oh no Oh no!!!!! My wife is going to divorce me. I bought no less than 3 Doziers in November and promised I would not buy another knife for a looooooong time. Now this........Oh no Oh no!!!!! Please make plenty in case I cant get to the front of the line. :-) Like the sheath too. Looks like a multi tool would fit in there.

Call me foolish, but because it isn't the case with the KA-BAR I have to ask...

does that .188" stock run the entire length of the knife, from handle to blade?

Nice piece!

Glad to see Camillus decided to go ahead and introduce another Becker design this year.
