New BK14

And for $46 it's a dam fine knife!!!! I no the best survival knife is the one you have in that time. This and my alox cadet will handle any 24-72 hours of any situation I truly believe.

Congrats, nice wrap! I live my 14s...just got my first 24!

You'll love it, soon handy. I keep mine in my back pocket when at work and use it a lot.

I need to get a SAK alox to make a set. Very nice.

Gonna keep the paracord since I have scales on my 11. It's gonna mainly be neck carry I think. Why?

Nice looking bow (60", 40#?) I think I read that correctly, I shoot recurve as well. Might I suggest a slight change to your arrow rest?

To keep the lateral retention, cut/trim a feather down to 3/4" long and 1/4"-1/3" tall and glue that onto your shelf. It will act as a fence to keep your arrow from sliding, won't add any noticeable drag and it won't disrupt arrow flight since the vanes will lay down as the arrow and fketchings pass over it.

Just make sure to have the vanes angled away from you, facing "backwards" in relation to how they sit on a knocked arrow. This way it will lay down and away from you when firing.

Good luck, nice 14, and keep us posted with any tags you fill.

I would just think it is easier to use with a handle. Plus, it looks nice.

Take mine, for example.
I hope you enjoy your knife. It is a sweet blade.
