given that the new model has a swedge, like the warrior; basically a hybrid between the two, i'd say: no pure warrior model

now, of course, you could easily sharpen that bad boy if you wanted. illegal in many jurisdicktions though
 
well, the recurve model was already nixed. a mini machax would be weird, and ... stupid. i think. i mean, why?

what we need is a mega-machax, know what i'm saying

Yeah, something the size of a Himalayan Imports Sirupati, only Machax-style, with a 20" blade. That would be some zombie-chopping goodness right there.

what do i want too? a domestic Beckerized version of an Extrema Ratio Khukri (the large one)... yeah. they're a little $$$, so i wouldn't mind a user cheap, but NIB as well would be cool. reminds me f a kopsis a bit.

i have a Fox Parang, which is cousin to Extrema, and it's a honeybadger of a blade. gunna sue that a bit this year. at Blade Show last, i got a dealer special on a Fox Khukri with the gold ceramic coating. sweet. it's very nifty. THICK STOCK. nice. i think next time i'd try to score a Tracker, and possibly other chopper variants, esp at show prices.

Extrema/Fox all have weird handles, so that's my Beckerized interest.

the Busseee Khurkris (2) are one a few knives they make i wouldn't mind trying out someday. though at $$$, perhaps not with my money :> the earlier one was the better attempt i think. did manage to see a couple at the show, as people were in "hog" mode, and sworn to secrecy, nor allowed to sell for a year. like that was obeyed ;)

two other examples to ponder: Bark River made a few khuk variants. they're interesting. very interesting: the Russian (Zlatoust) khukris. very limited run, and i was strapped for cash, so never saw one. my loss :> seemed very pretty.

the upcoming KaBar Chop Stick is nothing like a khukri, but does seem like an example of a nice sharpened bar :D
 
Mega Machax, I am onboard for this. 20" of Becker destruction. It's probably a good thing I didn't take up smithing though, I think too much.
 
Somewhere in the atlantic there is probably a big barge with a container full of machax sheaths on it.

Hey since this is the Becker forums I wont ask for details in chat but could you PM me or Email me about your Killa Zilla ?
I have heard a lot of conflicting reports and would love input from someone who has one.

I would like to be able to compare it to the Becker/Reinhardt Kuk

oh, i don't mind a little khukri competition :) as long as we stay mostly on track. heck, we can have a Machax compared to other khukris thread.

get some valuable data.

KLOs are interesting things. i believe Ethan likes them too :)
 
I would love to see a Becker version of my CS Kuk , and desperately want a BK&T/Reinhardt
Although Machaxen may make me put down my CS.

So would I ( compare it to a Reinhardt that is) feel free to email me any questions you might have, you can also check my started threads for a few write ups I've done on it, nothing scientific , just basic usage and the what not

I've been stalking Tomars site, waiting for the machax to hit, I'll be picking one up as soon as possible and doing a little comparison between the two

Hmmm...

I was looking up the specs to see how a mega machax would look, and noticed that the OAL is shorter than the blade :) How mega are we talking here? 20" OAL? 24" OAL?

If this "testing thing" becomes real, let me know. I have both the original TT version of the Zilla and, I'm pretty sure, one of the final version. I'd willingly lend them out for a solid testing event.
