I've wanted one of these for probably 10 years and finally got one. This thing feels amazing in hand. The handle feels like it was custom molded just for me. And for how thick it it, it's not too heavy at all. Mad Dog Pygmy ATAK:

Thanks, it really is dare I say, cool. It's not really designed as a woods knife per se but I think it will work great anyway. My only concern is that it was ungodly expensive (for me anyway) and I don't want anything to happen to it  But I don't have a safe to keep any queens in, so it will be a user.

1/4" O1 steel, hard chromed finish, tang is completely enclosed, handle is something along the lines of G10, 5" blade with about 4 1/4" cutting edge. Oh yeah, he makes a really nice Kydex sheath too.

Dayum T, I must resist your post;).......Great blade... I think I saw you picked up a SARsquatch ? I must resisit when you post pics...:D

Yeah, I do have a sarsquatch coming too :o Too many freaking knives out there man! Like Pacino said, everytime I think I'm done, they pull me back in...

MAN..,that is one bad motha!! sweet score T!!!

very cool blade...the choil does nothing for me, and i think right now it is a 7, without the choil i would put it at about a 10 (based on looks...no tactile info available through the net)

looks like a good knife though, and its good that you finally got what you have been waiting for...so...did it live up to all your expectations?

Interesting one. I've wondered about Mad Dog knives for years. I'm very curious about how well that works for you.

Excellent looking knife, 1/4" O1 to boot as well! I love the feel of a continuous handle, and G10 (That definitely looks like G10) is very strong stuff, so don't worry about the tang being nested. I too would give it a 10 except for that choil. It'll be nice for sharpening though.

Most seem to either like choils or hate them. I'm not overly concerned with them either way and have several knives with choils and several without.
I get people wanting the edge to come right to the handle though.

His choil design is really pretty interesting. I wish I could capture it better in pics. Seeing it up close it looks like it would be hard to do, with all the radiusing and different grinds coming together.

T, I just got in the same Sarsquatch you bought, I like it. Great field knife. Gene

It's funny I had gotten away from the sort of military influenced knives and here I'm getting a Busse and a Maddog right in a row :D
Did you get the tan sarsquatch too? I like the color combo on that one.
