N690Co, 3,2 mm

Next projects for some hunting blades

I really like the second design of yours. I have a special affinity for harpoon style blades. That belly it's sporting would make for a great hunter.

N690 is a really solid steel too, it doesn't get as much attention as M390 or the other "Super's", but my experience with the steel has been very favorable.

Geez and I was feeling good about having gotten 4 back from heat treat today. That's quite a production you've got going there zenaldiak, nice work!

I take it you're doing this full time and not just as a hobby?

Thank you guys. Knife making is a hobby of mine, just like hikking, hunting, fishing, mushroom gathering, etc. But not have enough time for this. Have a service in police department, CSI criminalistic formation. So not have ocasion to dedicate on my hobbye :) Until november this year i.ll retire from service after 25 year of CSI. Is enough for me and my health. After that my intention is to make this full time. Will see...

In the center of the first picture with N690 blades, can see two blades one on the other, the upper is darker, is a blade heat treated from 2 years ago, so i will make this knives in one year i think :) That two blades is ordered to a father and son .Hope to make him happy next month :)
