New blades from Leu Custom

Your a hoot severedthumbs. :)

But you're wrong, these Leu postings are never threads. Within a few hours TJL turns it into a commercial and a religious experience.

"Just Like I have always said, Pohan's blades are superb, and an incredible value. I am so glad you had the strength (?) to put up your money to try them. I am sure you are hooked for life now! Enjoy, and welcome to the Leu brotherhood! (?)"

I just want to go on record for the moderator of this forum, that I have been unfairly provoked once again. Why do I get the warnings from Ed when I start out with positive comments, and then am drawn into a defensive position by a bunch of yahoos who would not know a knife if their life depended on it?

Comments like that always make me laugh :)

TJL, they are trying to suck you over to the darkside. Don't fall into their trap!

Thanks for the concern, but there is no darkside. Just a clear demonstration of their ignorance. I have to admit though, comparing me to a pervert like Joseph Smith was as insulting as it gets. I spent a year at BYU, so I know of what I speak.
I will keep talking about stuff I like, and support knifemakers who deserve the praise. No chance of me falling in a trap. Those guys just want to spice up these threads with some good old TJL responses. Bring it on, but I will choose my battles for the moderator's sake.
Now, can we get back to discussing the killer performance of Joe's new Leu knives?

we can try :D unless brown or severed has anything to say! whatever :D more funny stuff to read. and by all means anyone at all that wants to comment good or bad, please do so. i always love to see who really has no tact and wont be considered a gentleman.

Ryan,

I'd like to think they are totally flat ! ha!

definitely not hollow ground and not convexed :D

It's like a flat grind at a steeper angle

Thanks,

Pohan

TJL I always enjoy reading your comments towards your favorite makers & knives!:)

Regarding the performance of Leu's knives, after over a week of paper slicing, I do some free standing rolled paper cutting tonight. I use one magazine page ( just like those of the News Week) to form paper roll. Even an inexperienced operator like me can easily cut throught several paper rolls cleanly.

The knives still maintain their original sharpness, at least I can't tell the difference. They can still shave my tiny arm hair with ease.

Hi Joe. That has been my experience with the Leu blades as well. Even after a lot of normal use or even beyond normal use, there really is no noticeable dulling of his blades. It tells me they are super sharp to begin with,, and that he has got his heat treating formula correct. Plus it is also hard to beat A2 steel for durability.

Leu stole Hartsfield's HT secret!!
JUST KIDDING!!!
They are my Sharpest knives.

these must be some sharp mofo's. i want to cut stuffs

i just cut up my 3 year old son's kiddie pool with one of the blades. my left thumb and several of my fingers will vouch for the edge sharpness

The first photo is the parts i cut up with the knife itself.

2nd photo is what it looks like cut up with a bandsaw :) Notice all the jagged edges.

3rd photo is a closeup of most of the pool with the knife.

Good thing my wife kept my son busy while i did that ! Was really turning into an eye sore on the small patio !
