Did anyone get the chance to play with the new Böker multitool knife at Blade Show? Is it worth $150???

The Boker Plus City (or is it Tech?) tool I bought over a decade ago was very much worth the $70-ish dollars I paid for it. This was back when buying anything but the most junkiest of junk from China was a bit of a crap shoot. The idea of getting something quality out of a Chinese factory was a new concept.

The walk, talk, and fit of the Boker was and is still incredible. I would assume this is no different. Mine lives in my hiking/overnight bag, and it has come in handy more times than I can remember.

The question:
"Is it worth the $150 price tag?"

My answer:
Not to me. It lacks several tools I use regularly on my other multitools (including SAK's).

They make this in a green G10 version as well — which looks better IMHO — and for some reason it’s cheaper:

I agree completely. I’ve owned (and still own) several and all have been terrific. So, why did Boker stop making the Tech Tool line (except for this new model)?

For that price I would pick Victorinox of my liking and buy aftermarket scales of my choise. Price would be lower or about same, even with higher amounts of tools. For that toolset and materials I can’t see the value.
