New bowie from Don Fogg

I was very impressed with this piece, and called Don yesterday to talk to him about it. The ebony was originally cut for a piano, ten years ago, and has undergone some stabilizing, so it is probably significantly more solid than most.
Loved the carving, loved the hamon, simply a wonderful knife.

Whoever owns it should be proud.

I love just about every knife I see from Mr. Fogg, and this one is no exception. I will say though, that I'm not as in love with this handle shape though. And, I can't even say why. ???

I am not crazy about it. Artsy for no other reason but arts sake. Not my favorite Fogg.

Could that be called a "commando handle/grip?

Mr. Fogg,inexperienced as I am,I may have inadvertantly evaluated the style of handle on this Bowie.Although I think it is the most beautiful commando type grip I've ever laid my eyes on.That along with the "piano ebony" insight by the always insightful Kohai999 made it impossible for me not to post on this beautiful Bowie.
