i just got an email from bryan...:D i've been gone all morning(pics soon to follow from that adventure)
my knife i ordered, is finished, he just has to work on the sheath... he sent me some pics..i can't wait to get this knife.. i have been looking forward to checking out bryan's work for a while now... bryan said this one is sharp..:)

i was really impressed with jeff H's designed "COMPACT BUSH KNIFE"... i ended up ordering one myself... The 1095 blade is 3.5" long by 1" wide 3/32" thick and with a 3.75" long handle...
the design looks like a perfect general purpose woods/bushcraft knife... a fine blend between a drop point and a spear point... the blade has a smooth belly and a nice point...

another great blade man. His work really impresses me, congrats Im sure it will be great!
Nice design too!

Looks great. I got the brown Micarta on my Kat knife, I really liek the look of it and it's nice and grippy too.

I'm sure you will give it a good work out, and I'm sure we will see some sweet pics:thumbup:

That's looking nice, Mike.
I guess I won't own a "one-of-a-kind" anymore.:foot:
I hope you like it. I am feeling some pressure here.

Mike, do you ever have a break from your envious aquisitions? :D

Nice knife!

Very nice knife, although I think it would look better with green micarta, O1 steel, and a 4.25" or so handle ;)

Later this summer I'm going to have to order one of Bryan's smaller knives to complement my Pathfinder, which I've been enjoying for the past few days.

:DThat's funny, because that's exactly how this knife came about. Dozens of really cool knives, all of which would have been just that much cooler IF the handle were shorter, the tip was higher, there was some belly,..... One thing that I am amost certain of - if you told Bryan about the little tweaks you think would make it (or another) perfect for you, he does not hesitate to accommodate. He is very open-minded and willing to try things.

To me that's the mark of a good maker. While it's cool occasionally to buy a knifemakers "model" I think that someone who can take your input and make you a knife like YOU ask for is a true custom maker.

To often you see stuff presented for sale and you can see little tweaks the knifemaker made to make things easier for him rather than the customer. It's always cool to see somone like Bryan there who is really basically doing his best to deliver:thumbup:

Good point, HD. Bryan explained to me AFTER he delivered my knives that he had to think a little about how to do the "belly." He did not try to change my mind on anything. He executed the lines EXACTLY as I had drawn them and I was surprised and impressed that his "hand" and his process did not influence the outcome.

Mike, once you get one of Bryan's knives in your hands and use it, you'll be "addicted" like the rest of us! Had a friend talk me out of my PSKK, but now have a 4" Pathfinder with green micarta handles being made...just can't do without a Breeden blade!

Hi everyone, thanks for the kind comments on this knife also.
they are a neat little knife and with the curve running the entire length
is a sweet spot for cutting. There have been some great ideas from
you guys who have contacted me and asked if I would try making your
designs and I want to thank you all for the chance to try and do them.
I can hardly wait to hear back from Mike when he gets his knife.
This little Hamilton bushcrafter is a pretty cool knife. It feels real good in
the hand. Kind of makes me think of the kat knife that I made for t-knife.

Take care and chat with you all later,

Bryan
