When we bought the Bubble Jig on the market, in 2009, it was all about grinding accurate bevels, with accurate plunge lines. We've learned a great deal over the last three years, by experimenting and by trial and error. These days I grind the entire blade using the Bubble Jig. The bevels are ground, the ricasso is trued, the tapers ground along with the tang on hidden tang blades. By using the Bubble Jig to set the grind on all parts of the blade, all parts of the blade match, everything ends up straight and true.
We finished the first new video and have it posted here http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...ding-system-New-video?p=12164904#post12164904
We'll be adding some new videos on surface grinding, grinding accurate distal tapers and grinding hidden tangs and filing the shoulders in two easy steps using the bevel grinding clamp with the Bubble Jig. Its accurate, fast and easy to do.
Check us out on the link above and watch for the new videos to be posted.
If you use a Bubble Jig leave your comments. I want to know what you think. If you have suggestions, let me know.
Happy grinding, Fred
