New Buck 110 pro plus hunter s35vn steel has a couple scratches

I'm not sure, but I don't think S35V will develop a patina. I thought it would have to be a carbon steel. I most certainly could be wrong though...

Never worry about scratching a user. Pristine is only for resale purposes. If that is your intent with a future purchase, keep the box and any pertinent paperwork. And yeah, demand satisfaction if there are blemishes.

Scratches on a new knife..... if I purchased the knife to collect, it would be returned. If it is to use, I will eventually scratch the blade anyway sharpening it (ie not paying attention).

I had scratches on a Steel Will knife, it normally was a satin finish so I used a green scotch brite pad you use for dishwashing and followed the same satin finish lines...it came out decent ,definitely looks better, so I'm happy with how it turned out. Would post pics but it's too much of a hassle, sorry
