Was wondering if anyone has seen these yet. Being a fan of their products for the most part, I thought it is a nice set up especially for beginners. Just having the splitting froe will save.some wacked finger while batoning. The color would be kinda hard to misplace. Pretty sure a set will be in my trunk eventually.
Penny for your thoughts!

I've always been a Buck fan, but the red blade coating isn't doing anything for me.

I know that for $350+ I can put together a lot better rig for reality. Probably a nice case to keep it all in too.

The Buck stuff is probably decent. If you like the set, buy it. Just for the car anyway, right?

I guarantee you the people here can set you up with the best car set possible within 5 days and under budget if you let them. :welcoming:

Def have to? the price but in the end its just a circle jerk in my head. It's only money odds are I'll jump.

First I think that's MSRP, not street price.

But you're right pricing seems very high for the steel used. 5160 is not that fancy.

I love Buck, but wonder why these are so pricy.

Compadre tools, approximate cost via Buck dealer to life member BCCI vs msrp after the Shot Show:

Knife: $50 vs $90
Axe: $70 vs $120
Froe: $90 vs $160

Set: $210 vs $370

I dig the camp knife. I wonder what the sheath will look like.

The sheath for the knife will be black leather with a belt loop attachment.

The other two tools will also have black leather sheaths but with stainless steel attachment rings.

I could roll with that. It looks simple and practical. I could live without the slight recurve, but all in all it seems like a handy piece of kit.

I actually like them, reminds me of the paint we use at work for some sprinkler systems. The red would wear off soon enough and looks like it could be a handy bit of equipment to have around

I'd really have to try them to give them a fair shake. The camp knife looks very useful.

However, human nature being what it is, first impressions can create an impact...and good Lord red blades on wood handles are horrible (at least aesthetic-wise for me!)

Not really feeling it for these knives...especially at that price and with that finish

I think I'll pass

If it was a satin or even just a black finish I'd be more into it

Buck needs a brand manager, someone who knows the industry and its trends. Those are ridiculous.
