Interesting. I have a Buck T-handled two-sided game saw (coarse, fine) that came in a high quality leather sheath, bought maybe 40 years ago. Great for sawing through the breastbone and joints of big game, handy for cutting branches, etc. Wish they still made them, along with the Buck angle guide, of about the same vintage.

Those hatchets just don't look like they would work good, to me. Even at $20 it seems like wasted money.
