New Buck S30V NS 110 Folding Hunter Pro

I am patiently waiting for a titanium bolster 110 with ironwood covers and a steel blade that will never rust or need sharpening (unless you use it to cut another knife made of the same super steel).

A knife that never needs sharpening?? You know as well as I do, someone is going to read that statement and do their best to try and cut every rock they can find and then make a big deal about it being dull, most likely another manufacturer. Also, no one would be able to afford it...

What's new about this knife?

The one thing that is almost new is that the finish on the nickel silver is more of a matte/scotch brite finish. But its not really new since the Tactical 110 that was BCCI offering had that same finish.

Oh, that looks really nice

I don't take for granted the steel types and shapes and cover suggestions people make that sometimes turn into special orders for sale by small companies like SK, C&C, DLT and eventually turn into regular production at Buck. It's all good. Lot's of options from lots of places.

I have got to get one of these. One of my biggest complaints since they switched from the old 440C in regular production was that Buck's legendary edge retention was no longer there. This is simply great, as far as I am concerned. It seems Buck listened and is "testing the waters", so to speak. It won't be until April (Christmas presents, birthdays, etc. to pay off) that I get one, but I certainly will.

Now, where is that Ecolite with S30V?
