I got my Koster Bushcraft Kit Knife about a week ago and finished it up last night. I think it turned out really well considering my selection of proper tools and skills :o.

Here is a link to the thread in Koster's area. (It won't let me post the pics here as well :grumpy:)

I kept the handle pretty thick so if I need to I can thin it out later, but I think I'm going to like the thick handle.

3" blade
4 1/2" handle
3V
Cocobolo scales

I can't wait to give it a good workout!

Nice, I was just poking around in his forum and saw your knife over there. I've been thinking about trying to get a blank from him as well to try this out.

You did the right thing leaving the handle big. If you really use it you can gradually sand it down as you identify places where you want to take some off.

Lot of times I've sanded it down and then took it out before it was finished to cut stuff. That way you can make something that you can use a long time with comfort. Sometimes when I just shape it holding it till it feels right and then I go out and use it I've taken to much off or not in the right place.
