New but excited. And a question.

I appreciate everyone's help. A Bushfinger is definitely on my list.

Of course, being me, I ended up buying two 3" Fiddlebacks. A Bushboot and a Hiking Buddy to start. So we'll see how they feel and go from there.

i know you were looking for stainlesss, did you get either of them in the CPM 154?

I'm going to echo the consensus as well and say Bushfinger. I love the shape and ergos of that blade and its why I also love the hunter which is almost a larger bushfinger! I also agree with the comments about steel thickness and tapered vs SFT. Almost every one I've held feels a little different and its far too easy to justify keeping one, two or three of them, convincing yourself they are different, lol. My favorite is the first I sharked, 1/8"SFT black ash burl. It is the thickest handle one I've had and just feels perfect in hand. I even got one in 5/32" for heavier tasks but it still doesn't feel as nice as that thick handled 1/8"

I love ladyfinger. but my hands are relatively small and I like slimmer knives

I have two BFs and a BC. They are all different and they are all awesome. First BF was 5/32 TT. Second is a SFT 1/8" Scandi. Totally different feels, but each super nice in its own respect. Then I have a 1/8" TT BC which is out of control awesome. So smooth and just glides through whatever I am cutting. If there is one recommendation I can make from all three, it would be (in my opinion), if you are going for a good all around camp knife at 4" I think I would go 5/32 over 1/8". Other than that, you can't go wrong with either in my opinion.

Like everyone says, in 3 months time you will probably have both anyway.

The two new additions. So far I'd say the Hiking Buddy fits my hand better, but the Bushboot is growing on me. Both are very impressive.
