New CAIMEN COMBAT UTILITY Hawk

Hey Folks,
Heres another new hawk in my lineup. The Caimen Combat Utility hawk is designed with a less dynamic, more functional profile. The simple handle design allows for an easily reversible grip to employ the back spike comfortably and effectively. At 13.5" OAL and made from 3/8" 80crv2 this is a heavy duty axe designed as a no frills breacher. The tang is fully tapered from 3/8" to just over 1/8" giving proper head weight. Axe weight is 1lb. 12oz. The bottom of the OD Green micarta handles features a glass breaker end. This axe has a Magpul Gray gunkote finish. Comes with a felt lined kydex sheath. I have another of these in Curly Maple I will be listing later. $440 shipped.

Love the strength of that design, your grinds and the tapered tang. That's by far the cleanest sheath/retention set-up I've seen for a hawk. :thumbup:

Are the straps leather? Adjustable?

Any pics of the top of the head showing the taper from centerline to the edge bevel? Full convex?

Thanks guys! The head is convex ground both towards the edge and the spike. The edge has a secondary grind.
