new camera new pics

I just picked up a DSLR Canon EOS Rebel XS. Man this thing has a lot of buttons and dials ..... Any one know how to get great shots from one ???

I shot these of my Boker.... What do you think ??

Hi Louis,
My Wife uses a Nikon D50. Lots of buttons too. What really helps is Picasa2 for photo editing. Its free online.

Hey Louis....congrats on the new camera. I have spent many hours trying get good shots of my knives. Come to find out, there is a lot more to it than just the camera. start by reading this thread from another board. It's a great way to start.
